Daniel P. Marnen

Mr. Marnen graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in Film Studies. In September 2006, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. Marnen is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Prior to receiving his law degree, Mr. Marnen was a photojournalist for RNEWS, a local cable news network, in Rochester, New York. During his tenure as a photojournalist, Mr. Marnen covered such events as President Clinton's visit to Buffalo, New York in 1998; Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's initial senate campaign; Buffalo Bills football; the LPGA Wegman's Rochester International Golf Tournament; NASCAR racing at Watkins Glen, New York; and, most notably, the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City.

While attending law school, Mr. Marnen was placed on the Honor Roll and Dean's List and received a Tuition Scholarship for academic performance. He was also a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. As a photojournalist, Mr. Marnen was honored numerous times by the National Press Photographers Association for outstanding work in photojournalism.

Mr. Marnen is a member of the Pennsylvania and Erie County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and the Northwest Pennsylvania America Inn of Court. When not practicing law, Mr. Marnen enjoys skiing, sailing, rollerblading and is an avid movie buff. He has also been a participant in such charitable events as Santa's Castle, Cathedral Women's Council's Annual Fashion Show, and St. Peter Cathedral's Centennial Countdown.
